Wren's name
How Wren Sullivan, the main character and narrator of For Ever, got her name is a bit random. With many of the other characters in the book, I really toiled over their names, trying to figure out something appropriate. But with Wren, I happened to be on www.babynames.com and the "Name of the Day" happened to be Wren, or "small bird."
Having grown up with an unusual name, I felt a connection ... and it also seemed to fit my character, who has always felt a little off-center.

A tiny preview of Never
From Never ...
***
There’s a feeling after you’ve had a really bad nightmare, when you’ve opened your eyes, and for a few seconds you’re still there, in the dream, but awake. I’ve just remembered my nightmare, and it turns out I’m still in it.I don’t even have enough time to be grateful that I’m not dead. ...

Never is half-way done!
I had to go back and re-work some stuff earlier in the story, but the sequel to For Ever nearly half-way done! I've got a couple of teasers to share. Not sure which I'll put out there first, but I can say that a lot is changing in Wren's world right now.
I can't wait until it's done and I can share the next part of The Ever Series!
